We had the pleasure to experience "Slow Camping" with the great flair of historic Airstream trailers while staying at the Airstream Hotel Jena. The trailers were imported from the U.S. and refurbished or rebuilt. Where needed, new furniture was custom built and integrated into the shell after restoration.
Service is superb and you won't miss anything during your stay! Thank you, Airstream Hotel crew! We will return...
We travel a lot in Germany and this is our favourite site. The owner Stefan is just the best host. Helpful and informative. There is also an English man Tom who helps out and is also very helpful. Jena is beautiful town with lots of great bars and restaurants. The prices are very reasonable if not the best. I recommend highly.
Amazing camp, staff went above and beyond to accomodate us. We called them right as they were closing because we were stranded in Germany with no place to sleep. Even though we were an hour away and arrived after dark, the owner/receptionist stayed up to let us in and helped us find a place to build our tent.
The camp itself is very nice and clean, it had free showers amd a pool for kids. Even though we had to leave the next mirning we'll remember this camp for a possibility of a longer stay in the future.
Auf Viedersehn!
Great view and friendly staff. We stayed there for a night in our tent. Cycling path D4 passes nearby.
The host provided very valuable information about everything including weather forecast. We were about to cancel our bicycle trip due to weather forecast warnings, but after a chat with the host we gave it a chance and continued. Very happy for not cancelling our trip.
P. S. The first shower is not so great, use other ones.
Lovely small and affordable campground near the city for tent or camper van tourists. Sanitary facilities are basic but clean. Free Wifi, charging facilities and friendly staff. Loved it 👍 …
Very beautiful and peaceful place, clean and well organised! The people there are lovely and helpful and they speak English. Nature is great and the provided facilities for showering, cleaning and toilets were super clean and you don't have to pay extra for water and shower which is very good. Prices in general are impressively good!
When we arrived it looked very full and small. However if you walk around a bit you can find your private corner because it has bushes and trees.
It is a cute and cozy park with an alternative atmosphere. The "restaurant" has a "family picknick" vibe with home made food.
You can take drinks at any time from the outside fridge and leave the money in the box. There are power outlets on the floor next to the restaurant.
The reception is an old tram.
Everything is very cute.
And it's surprisingly a very quiet camping park.
No big groups, loud kids or dogs running without a leash.
It's close to a public pool and within walking distance of the city center even though it's in a quiet area in the woods.
The owner is a nice guy and the bathrooms were clean.
It's also cheap (18€)
A gem of a campsite. Informal but well ordered. Sanitary facilities quirky but plentiful & very clean. Owner was extemely pleasant & helpful (inc. giving us good advice on where to get our exhaust pipe fixed!) He also spoke excellent English, which was a real plus!
